Meet Candy

Born in Santa Monica, California, I have lived in Santa Barbara for the past 18 years raising my three daughters. As the oldest of four children, I have been playing school since I can remember.

My idea of a play-time as a child was converting our childhood playhouse into my mock classroom. I was a born teacher; it's in my blood.

I am an active volunteer with my daughters' schools, in and outside of the classroom. As a room parent volunteer for 7 years, working on  classroom parties, book fairs, carnivals, and auctions for my girls' schools has enriched my life. Moreover, as a AYSO soccer coach, I have learned that it is never too late to get in the ball game.

The Storyteller Children Center, where I help fundraise, is near and dear to my heart. They provide high-quality childhood education for homeless and at-risk children.
